Description

French-made boxwood powder shaker. This object was used to dry ink after writing, as a blotter would. The top cannot be dismantled and the filling is done by putting the powder in the conical upper part and then passing it through the small holes. This conical receptacle also allows the excess powder to be collected on the paper. Height: 72mm, diameter at the widest point: 65mm.
