Restoration of a WATERMAN 42 in black hard rubber.

Here is the original pen, the black hard rubber is discolored.
The nib is not a WATERMAN, the tendril is in working order.
After confidential soaking to revive the black hard rubber it turns out that the barrel is split and the cap broken. We therefore proceed to replace these 2 parts and here is the result with the defective parts in the background:
Note the restoration of the engravings on the barrel :
